Abstract:
Nowadays we can notice a lot of cameras on city streets and above transport
routes. These cameras usually carry out 24-hour monitoring, transmitting
data to servers. Data from cameras can be useful as evidence in various
life circumstances, for example, in car accidents, breaking the law issues and
so on. In this thesis I would like to take up the topic of synchronizing tracking
cameras in network.
Synchronization and object tracking can give us lots of comprehensive
information about object state. This technologies can be useful where we
need to gather additional metrics from video transmission in real-time (distance,
object identification and so on). For example, camera application for
different sport events. One of the cases is FIA (Fédération Internationale de
l’Automobile (fr.)) (FIA, 1904) Formula racing championships with their F1
TV (F1 TV , 2003) web application. We can easily watch every race from
different cameras simultaneously with additional real-time metrics provided
by AWS (Amazon Web Services) (AWS, 2006) company. For this type of
application is very necessary to have a good level of synchronization and
tracking technologies. According to this, I want to make a research with
these two technologies, gather metrics and make a conclusion about possible
improvements.
