The sense of smell is the most magic one. It can bring us to our memories and remind our
emotion about some particularly moments. In many cases, we remember the fragrance of
person, who is- in the present, or was- in the past- close to us. Perfumes are a product, which
has a huge power. It is like an invisible part of clothes. It can emphasize our personality and
show it to others. This liquid substance can bring out qualities that are not always easy to show.
It can give to us courage, confidence, romance, sex appeal and elegance. Perfume is the unique
product that requires a lot of work. It can be said that it is in a category of luxury goods, and
depending on what is hidden inside - very expensive. There are many techniques for obtaining
essential oils. The appropriate method is chosen, depending on the type of material. The
resulting liquids, with concentrated scent, are given to the scent creator. The person who creates
perfumes should have special abilities and sensitivity. Creation of a certain odor, must be
accompanied by some inspiration and emotionally charged. Nowadays, we can observe a very
large amount of fragrances. We can divide perfumes by different categories. The same product
may be diverse, depending on how concentrated it is. Among the enormous amount of
perfumes, there are those that stand out and are known over the whole world. In this group,
certainly we can include “Chanel no5”. This bottle, has its history, and in bookstores we can
find a book that is dedicated to it. However, this is not the only one, known bottle, because we
surely associate "Dior J'adore". The male, especially the younger group knows "Paco Rabanne
Invictus". The reason of our knowledge about some bottles of perfumes is from broadly
advertising. Advertising is ubiquitous and we have contact with it every day. Not only the
products, which we can buy are advertised, but also some fashionable behaviors. One of the
elements of this popularization is a commercial. Movies which are advertising perfumes - are
saturated with luxury, beauty, elegance. Each projection has the own story, can brings different
kind of emotions. Some of them make us able to move our imagination to the present place.
The script is created in such a way that the viewer can imagine, how these perfumes can smell.
Sometimes, the emotions which we see on the screen, are enough to know what the bottle has
inside. Almost always the advertising films play on human senses and feelings. This
manipulation reaches deep into the desires and dreams of women and men. The promoted scent
is shown in the way, that we want to get it, because we want to feel the same feelings. The
whole idea of the advert is developed by a large group of people. The process of creation
advertising campaign at the end and the long process of sourcing essential oils is the work of
many human hands and minds. Perfumes are a product, that will never lose its value. Moreover,
the speaking about the scent will be always a beautiful, exciting story.
