Online dropshipping store

Abstract

The objective of this thesis is to design a guide on how to create an online store utilizing dropshipping business model as well as how to conduct the research regarding the product to sell, the supplier to source the products from, the market and customers to target, and the competitors to compete against. Articles and videos on the Internet as well as the literature have been used for writing this paper. The online store is created on the e-commerce platform Shopify, which is a platform that’s widely used for Dropshipping. Dropshipping is a business model where the processes of handling and shipment of the product is outsourced to the third party. Most of the crucial aspects of the dropshipping online store implementation gets covered. The purpose of this thesis is to create a practical step by step guide supported by the theory around it, as well as visual steps on how to build an online store. The result of the thesis is a dropshipping online store, ready for publication.
