dc.description.abstract |
This thesis concerns the creation of a web application to streamline the poultry farming and production planning processes at the poultry company INDOS Ltd. The motivation for the project was the lack of computerization of one of the key processes in the company. The designed and implemented web application will allow integration and more efficient breeding planning at the key breeders of the poultry enterprise. In addition, the project can serve as a prototype for a larger system that manages all aspects of poultry farming and can be continuously developed in the future.
The paper begins with a literature review related to the topic at hand. The architecture for
developing client-server applications and their style - REST - is analyzed. The analysis of the technologies used for the development of software on the front-end and back-end allowed the subsequent selection of the appropriate approach and programming languages for the development of applications. The next part of the work describes the requirements for the system based on which it was later implemented. System use cases, scenarios, and logic and implementation diagrams are listed. Non-functional requirements will be used to determine the correctness of the system after implementation. The layout of the application is described in Chapter 5, with views of each page along with a description of the most important functionalities. A description of the architecture of the system and the technical solutions used to create it can be found in Chapters 6, 7, 8 and 9. TypeScript with React was used to create the client application. The backend was written using the .NET platform. A MSSQL database is used to maintain data persistence. Both the server application and the database are hosted on servers provided by Microsoft Azure. Chapter 10 presents the result of the work, which is a functioning web application, ready for use by poultry farmers and INDOS employees. The first months of using the application will bring user feedback, which will be used to further develop the application |
