dc.description.abstract |
The theoretical part of the bachelor’s thesis presents the work of three Polish artists – Alina Szapocznikow, Natalia LL and Katarzyna Kozyra, subsequently. The study concentrates on the most interesting works in the contexts of my thesis in which the above-mentioned artists used their own bodies. The first chapter of the thesis defines the term Feminist Art together with its assumptions,
and describes Feminist Art in Poland which includes the artists’ achievements. The following chapters describe the artists’ biographies and, in my view, the most important works which prove that the body constituted their source of inspiration and expression. Conclusions on the artists’ work and its meaning are provided. The last chapter is dedicated to Alina Szapocznikow, Natalia LL and Katarzyna Kozyra, and common features and correlation of their work established in the research
process. |
