dc.description.abstract This paper explores the field of children’s literature addressed for children with dyslexia. The aim of the research is to scrutinise the omission of dyslexics’ struggles in the field and propose solutions that may lead to further discussion. The work offers an analysis of ways in which inclusive book design, based on scholarly knowledge, can increase accessibility, and as a result, also efficiency and satisfaction of reading among dyslexics and reluctant readers. Dyslexia friendly books foster reading as comfortable, attractive, and engaging activity for people with different types of dyslexia. This paper not only analyses attributes of traditionally printed books, it also focuses on how Augmented Reality can become a medium for a play-based experience and subsequently have a therapeutic effect. pl_PL
