Streszczenie:
In this thesis I tried researching cultural differences and similarities in startup
ecosystems in Nigeria and Poland. Their history is different but in recent years
and decades they have become target destinations for investors seeking to
allocate their funds and resources. The aim for researching that topic was to
find whether it’s possible to find a startup growth model outside of a well
established, especially among western markets, Silicon Valley model and walk
away from its connotations incorporating existing in these countries' culture.
Moreover, the importance and influence of culture in that process was also
researched as it was put as a basic indicator to establish a final conclusion. As it
turns out the different natures of both countries make it hard to come to one
universal conclusion. However, it is visible that both countries’ cooperation
with each other might benefit them significantly. Nevertheless, the African
market is still young and should be further observed to be able to answer the
question whether the culture might compete with capitalism and how
influential it is in the emerging market.
