Streszczenie:
Screen sharing between Linux desktop and Android devices is a forgotten field in today’s
technology. Despite the fact that there are programs and protocols available to share
Linux desktop, there are not many Android applications supporting those programs and
none of these solutions provide a full featured, ready to use system. This thesis aims in
developing a system for both Android and Linux devices, that allows for viewing a Linux
desktop, on an Android device, along with all needed configuration and ready to use user
interfaces needed to provide full featured user experience and a ready to use solution.
Starting from the design and planning stage, including technological research and many
implementation considerations up to the implementation stage, the idea for the solution
has been clarified and designed. According to the design, an Android application has
been developed, along with a set of programs on the Linux desktop, called a server. A
result of integration of the server and the application is called an Extended Desktop
System (extd system). The result of this thesis yields a fully featured system for Linux,
along with an application for Android devices that allows for accessing and managing
multiple screen sharing connections in a secure and easy way.
