dc.description.abstract |
This work explores the extent to which the quality of a cookbook can be enhanced to
engage more audiences than its online alternatives, with emphases on the design of cookbooks.
Firstly, I take a close look at how the design of cookbooks has evolved overtime by studying
the very origin of cookbooks up to the final form. Next, I determine and study the alternatives
which pose a threat to cookbooks at present or might pose a threat in the near future. Finally, I
demonstrate how the design of cookbooks can be enhanced based on the kind by using the
proper design methods along with implying new technologies in order to generate a more
engaging cookbook. This research will inform and serve as a theoretical foundation for my
practical project and help me in designing a more engaging cookbook. |
