“If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being
oppressed and loving the people who are doing the oppressing” - Malcolm X.
Cinema has always been the most important media used for the delivery of propaganda. My research paper: How art promotes communist ideology: a short study of Albanian cinema (1950-1990) consists of an analysis of a few chosen Albanian movies produced and released during the communist era. My goal is to analyze film elements, such as plot, scenes, visuals, dialogues etc., and understand how these film elements promote the communist ideology. This research aims to identify and evaluate propaganda approaches and strategies for better understanding the communist regime in Albania which continuously tried to blind the society with their "progressive" views.
The introduction part will provide an introduction to the study by first discussing the
background and the context, followed by a brief description of the main research and finally, the outline. |
