Mobile application for tabletop role-playing games

Abstract

This diploma thesis describes the development of mobile application designed to help it’s users to play their favourite tabletop RPGs in a comfortable and kind of new way. It includes the visualization of the most important game mechanics, role distribution, management of a group of users, communication and finding new friends and crewmates. The main point of this application is to catch the attention of potential users with flexibility, simple but comfortable UX/UI design with smart space distribution which is very important in these kinds of leisure activities. Mobile application is developed in Flutter SDK which allows to build the application for both IOS and Android platforms, which are the most popular and widely used platforms nowadays, using the same code base written in Dart language. The database which stores all user info is written in Firebase Firestore which is NoSql database. These stack of technologies provide all necessary tools to create efficient application with great security. This document describes functional requirements, implementation, details about used technologies, used UI/UX techniques, concept of writing applications on a single code base for different platforms.
