Streszczenie:
This
paper undertakes the task of studying the collage in relation to meaning
creation processes in art, and more specifically in music videos, as its main
objective. A semiotic approach to sign is made use of in the paper as a tool for
analysing several music videos and analysing the possible theory of sign applied
in them. The text contains observations concerning signifier manipulation, de
contextualisation of signs in artworks and how th ose factors contribute towards
the creation of meaning while also taking into consideration the case of artistic
style. The observations contained in the paper are also juxtaposed with
reflections on my process of creating the music v ideo for the song Pag ani by
Alvin Paris.
