The concept of the thesis was born from my interest in animation and Disney’s movies,
which has been accompanying me since childhood. Thanks to them and documents about
production, I desired to become part of this creative process. In my thesis, I decided to bring
in a way, which Disney’s makers have to conquer to produce a remarkable work and
sometimes worth the Oscar.
Production of animated films is not one of the easiest tasks. It requires a lot of time, resources
and talented workers, to make work come to life. In this work I distinguished three elements
required with animated film’s production: idea, inspiration and realisation.
In the first chapter I refer to the movie Beauty and the Beast. I describe how the idea for
filming this timeless was born and how it was modified. I explain how the characters arose,
and how the creators dealt with the problems they encountered.
In the next chapter I bring up an element of inspiration on the example of the movie The Lion
King. I present to what extent this factor influences the entire production, appearance and
sound of the work.
In the last chapter, I present the realization based on the film by Moana, known in Europe as
Vaiana: Skarb oceanu. Describes work on this production. What the preparations looked like,
what techniques the creators used and why, what problems they encountered and how it
contributed to the development of animation. |
