[...] The purpose of this thesis is to ease the communication between the Deaf and Hearing. During the work, I focused on letters from Polish Sign Language alphabet and digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I used my own feature transformation, selection methods and&#13;
applied techniques such as neural networks to classify signs [...] In the thesis I focused on static images. For better sign language recognition one should use a&#13;
dataset in the form of videos. That is because it is impossible to classify all signs only from static images.
